Twice recently I\’ve had a \”sign\” from a bird of prey.
Driving out of Fort Wayne after our US citizenship ceremony earlier this year, a bald eagle swooped down in front of our car. Bald eagles are re-establishing themselves in Indiana as local ecosystems recover, but this was the first I\’d seen. It was as if it had come down to say \”welcome to America\”.
Yesterday, as we started to wind down our World Cup adventure, we visited Christ the Redeamer high above Rio. While up there, a large bird of prey (we didn\’t know what it was, but it was huge) circled overhead entertaining the tourists. Some time later, back at sea level, I speculatively snapped my iPhone through the rear window of the taxi hoping to get a shot of the distant Redeemer. this is what I got.
I like to think this glorious bird was doing loop-de-loops over the statue to say \”thanks for coming!\”
