Making new friends already

These Brazilians are so friendly. Dave and I are already well acqainted with Flacao Brazils mascot (who, as it happened, helped us pick up our match tickets at the airport so avoiding the need for an expensive three hour detour to the downtown ticket office today)

And then we were lucky enough to hang out with Brazilian team in a spare moment while they contemplate their less than startling form so far this competition

And all this before we\’d even left the airport! 

Anyway: now we\’re in our B&B near the airport trying to decide if we have the energy to drag ourselves the 45 min cab ride to the Fan Zone on Copacabana Beach to watch Uruguay:England on the BIG screen. More likely we\’ll stay near the hotel and gather our energy for the rest of the trip. Although it would be sweet to be amongst thousands of Engalnd fans as they watch their team ejected from the tournament a la Spain yesterday (was NOT expecting that!)
