Indianapolis; Chicago; Amman (Jordan); Doha (Qatar). 24 hours door to door. Well we trust there’s a door for us when we get there. I looked up the address of our apartment on Google earth. At least the building is there! As Elaine said as she drove me to the airport – it’s a long way to go to watch some men kicking a ball around a field. She’s not wrong!
Talking of Elaine. She’s a saint! No: really: she is. This is the third time she’s let me do this and I’m eternally grateful. especially this time being a winter World Cup so I’m heading to 90F weather in the desert while she’s stuck on the frozen tundra! I am actually feeling guilty. But I’m past the point of no return 🙂
